    NICE.

It occurs to me that if anyone here missed Jonathan Lethem's Men and Cartoons, they'd probably want to check it out. An excerpt from the first story, The Vision, can be read, (pretty crappily) below:

Kind of surprised they've kept The Vision images under wraps with the movie only 3 weeks or so out from release. Would've thought they'd leak earlier.

They've leaked in merchandise months ago. Could have sworn I've posted some here.

Only had a chance to watch the first episode, but Daredevil is fucking excellent.

I'm 2 episodes in on Daredevil and it's really damn good. Dark, gritty, and a good counterpart to the flashiness of the Avengers crew.

Finally finished and damn that was great!

Can't wait for the follow-ups and eventual Defenders show.

They definitely tried to push things as much as they can which is great to see in a Marvel product.

We need a season 2 greenlit like yesterday!

I liked it a lot. It's very ambitious but the TV budget (read: millions of dollars less than studio film) kinda shows in some scenes. Overall, another hit for Marvel.

Human trafficking, rape, prison suicides....crazy to think this is the same world as Avengers. I read in an interview how the development team were really aiming to get a WIRE vibe.

About to start episode two, fingers savagely crossed they're not going with any of that goofy 1980s Frank Miller trained-by-a-ninja bullshit and stay the course in a more temperate Bendis mode.

The first episode was OK, I thought. Drew Goddard (a Whedon protege) is usually solid, and was very restrained with the Buffy-esque humor, which was a concern. I thought Foggy was well-cast, funny, but still believable as a human being.

The representation of his superpowers was well-done, though I was sort of hoping for a bit more of a visual approach, like they do in the comics (or the hideous movie).

Overall, just ok by today's TV standards. Netflix's other latest series (Bloodlines?) was a real slow burn, so I'm hoping this too will build to something great.

Planning on watching it as soon as I get a chance. Word of mouth has been strong. Glad Marvel is proving that not everything with their characters has to have the same feel and tone.

Daredevil was incredibly violent. I didn't expect it to be quite so brutal. The Dark Knight seems like a children's cartoon in comparison.
    I loved it
    especially the Oldboy hallway reference!

I liked the references to Iron Fist - given the fight scenes for this it should be pretty good. Nice tie-in having organized crime taking advantage of all the construction required after the last Avengers movie as well!
