No one has a boner for Neil Blomkamp doing an Alien film?

I was a huge fan of District 9 but was kinda underwhelmed by Elysium. I like the gritty aesthetic of his films but I'm hoping his version of ALIEN steers clear of some of the heavy-handedness of his previous movies.

Elysium wasn't bad. I enjoyed it even if District 9 was a far better film. If anything, that was Elysium's biggest problem. Expectations were very high going into it.

I liked District 9 a lot, Elysium was only ok. I saw a preview for Blomkamp's new movie, Chappie, and it looked terrible. This is not an encouraging indicator for the latest attempt to revive the Alien franchise.

^ hate the look of that new Avengers poster. The lighting is all of and it looks like all the pictures were cut out and collaged poorly in photoshop
