Edit: Found this.
I'm not necessarily opposed to this, even despite my distaste for "two-part" standalone movies. Usually all marketing hubub to maximize profits.
But then why stick with the Batman v Superman moniker? Just start titling them "Justice League: xxxxxxxxxx"
Screw this. Just release something! Anything!
JL is a completely different film and it will be misleading if the film(s) has a 10 second cameo from Aquaman & Cyborg w/ a small intro to WW and the rest is pretty much just about Bats and Supes.
I like the idea though because it puts a film out from DC this year and it's going to be about Bats (I'm assuming) and I think that will satiate the haters who feels the movie is being rushed.
Date is good for 10/23/15 too, they have no competition on the same date and they have 3 weeks before Spectre comes out and 5 weeks before Hunger Games 2 decimates everyone else on the box office.
jesus WB needs to pick a release date and stick with it
if there's one coming out in october then that will be the 4th or 5th date change so far!
RFX, let's be honest; no Bats + no Supes = No JL.
I'm not saying the JL film will not have Bats or Supes but if these two films only have Bats and Supes then there will just be more fanboy bitching. "OH! you call it JL and no GL? Stupid DC!", "WTF DC, wheres Flash? This isn't JL!", etc...
'Scott Lang' Suits Up In Three New Official Stills From Marvel's ANT-MAN
There was way, way too much going on to put into one movie. Bats, Sups. Lex, Wonder Woman, aquaman, etc. 2 movies makes sense.
I agree. To be honest, the more I hear about this film the more I wonder why they didn't just call it JLA.
Nice little video demonstrating how effective (and safe) having a crossguard light saber could be when using proper longsword technique in battle.
What a disappointing avengers trailer.
