I read a review that said it was more comprehensible, with multiple plot points that were edited out of the previous version. So that might make it more watchable. That, and the bewbs. Apparently lots of bewbs.
Life is too short to waste time with this stuff. Snyder is a proven failure and should be ignored.

Has Snyder ever done something people actually liked? I remember 300 being somewhat interesting but mostly just silly. All his stuff just looks like a PlayStation or Xbox game.

He must make the studios money for his stuff to keep being made I guess.

I made the mistake of trying to watch rebel moon. The first part was meh, but I finished it and was medium interested to see part two, I made is about 20 minutes into part two and turned it off…. My mistake for even trying

Your mistake was not watching the directors cut which shows his true vision of the movie.

There are seriously intense Snyder fans. Just read the comments in any article about one of his movies. Even this steaming turd has intense defenders. I think 300, Watchmen, the Superman and Justice League movies all made money, even if there were diminishing returns and increasing public disdain. Watchmen was honestly pretty decent, especially since no one thought it was filmable at all. I've read that he's a really likeable guy, so the combination of profitability and a director who will be easy for everyone to work with is probably a guaranteed green light in most studios. The likelihood that Rebel Moon set truckloads of money on fire may change that calculation, though.

I have a soft spot for the ridiculously baroque Chronicles of Riddick despite it being a costly box office bomb. It's all so utterly ridiculous (The Necromongers! The Underverse!) and played so very straight. Plus Karl Urban chewing every bit of scenery available while sporting an emo mullet.

It kind of ruled...

The worst part of that movie, was Riddick.

So so spot on. Absolute banger cast -- Judi Dench, Thandi Newton, Karl Urban, Colm Feore -- hamming it up to 11 and Vin Diesel just kind of glowering his way through it all.

Linus Roache riffing off Rutger Hauer in his own very blonde death scene is a particular guilty pleasure.

I liked the first movie with Riddick character. Thought it was well done.

Pitch Black was a great B movie. Chronicles was overwrought junk that was almost completely unrelated to the previous movie, but I can see why others are entertained by its ridiculousness. The third movie, Riddick(?) was almost a Pitch Black remake, but dumber. Nonetheless, I'll admit I enjoyed it.

Pitch Black, yeah I remember liking it for some reason. Another horror movie set in space.

I still can’t figure out why Vin Diesel became a star.
