Is IT gory or just really creepy? I typically stray away from the horror genre.

It has some effective gore, but I wouldn't call it a *gory* horror film. Creepy yes. Scary? Depends on your tolerances.

Best thing I can say to bring in non horror fans is the story about the group of kids' lives is almost more interesting to follow then the horror stuff. Has a nice 80's brat pack film vibe going at moments. It's all really well done.

The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina is being made into a CW show.

If you are not aware, Chilling Adventures is a "kind of, but not really" spin-off of After-Life with Archie that launched three years ago. Modern and dark/messed-up take on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. If they follow the tone of the comic and don't hold back, this could be an interesting project.

^ If the effects weren't CGI'd so much and the stunts looked more gritty/realistic/practical,, I'd be more excited.

I’ve said it before, but Pacific Rim was unjustly maligned by the public. It’s a great film.

No idea if the sequel will be any good without the same creative team behind it, but I’m willing to keep an open mind.

Going to try and see the new Blade Runner this weekend. It’s been getting rave reviews and I’d rather not have it be spoiled.

I'm down for pretty much anything that is Mechwarrior/Battletech-esque

I’d love a movie or TV series based in the Battletech/Mechwarrior universe. There are some fairly strong books from back in the day they could mine material from.

I've read all of the older books (non-'Dark Age'). Really good material to work with. Would fit with the 'dystopian warrior' themes that have been pretty popular lately
