Watching Wolverine 1. The opening credit sequence should have been the whole movie. Wolverine and Sabretooth fighting their way through history would have been a far more interesting movie than the rest of this ****.

So Edgar Wright pulled out of Ant Man

Then yesterday, Adam McKay (Anchorman, Other Guys) was reported to be in "advance talks" to take over as director

Today, McKay pulled out of negotiations

Me thinks this movie has serious script problems? @RFX45? @Jr Mouse

I think Wright and McKay see the writing on the wall, and it's not pretty

Will Marvel pull a Fox and hire a subpar director like Bret Ratner to get the movie made on time?

I don't think it is just script problems than it is Marvel wanting certain ways that alter the directors vision.

This were evident with IM1 and IM2, if you just read up on the problems on the production of those films then you can see the type of horror it is to work with Marvel at times.

I doubt they use a bad director though like a Boll or M. Night. :lol

Seems like they are really looking for a director that has done majority comedic films though so I am not sure how this film will work/look. The other contenders are the directors of We're the Millers (Marshall) and Zombieland (Fleischer).

^ Wow, the people they have lined up have some truly awful movies under their belt

We're the Millers? Gangster Squad? What the **** Marvel?

I guess you could say the same thing about the no-name brothers who directed Winter Soldier (they did You, Me and Dupree), but it sounds like the brothers had more of their own plan for the movie and presented it to Marvel.

These new Ant Man directors are just "reservists" who can finish the project to Marvel's specs

Is Thanos the main villain in Guardians? Haven't seen any of him in the trailer. Why are they only announcing it now? Movie comes out in a few months...

He has a small part in it, he'll be behind the scenes like he was in Avengers though maybe a bit more screen time.

The interesting report is that Thanos will have a bigger part in Avengers 2, which has Ultron as the main villain.

Thanos is expected to be the main villain for Avengers 3.

Weird, I thought the word was that the Avengers post credits scene was a setup for Thanos in gotg... but he's only a minor role?

Find it crazy that they would do a post credits scene at the end of a Phase 1 movie to set him up for a big role in Phase 3... seems like a long time

Thanos is just that kind of villain, you have to have a giant build up, you can't just throw him in and end it there. Plus that is exactly why they are sprinkling him in here and there in small doses so people continued to get hyped.

They never said or implied Thanos was the big villain in GotG, Thanos is just too big for them. Plus Thanos has been collecting the gems slowly but surely so he'll be a bigger threat with the gauntlet. You can't have the GotG team beat him, it'll be a waste.

Yeah, Thanos will be in it but not in a major role. I suspect it will be towards the end of GotG and be used as a set-up for his master-plan being put in motion.
