There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I've said several times that JJ falls apart towards the end. Was starting to think I might have been the only one in this thread to think so.

David Tennant was the best thing out of that season.

Welp... That was a dull trailer.

So what did everyone think of Westworld?

    Random thoughts:

I found a few thematic similarities with Dollhouse; hoping it will exploit them better than that show.

I missed the original, but as an 80s kid with that VHS burned indelibly in the brain, I was really waiting for some bald Yul Brynner analog to show up and drip his wires everywhere.

Finally caught Westworld. Pretty interesting. I've never seen the original movie or read the book but I'll probably keep watching. Typical HBO, must show tits and ass no matter what.

    Superhero Fight Club 2.0. :slayer:

The actress they cast as Supergirl really is perfect. Looking forward to seeing how the character fits in the CW's DCU.

Oh, wow. I guess I'm a little behind. Is that new Logan movie just a standard Wolverine entry, or does it relate somehow to Marvel's big middle-finger Old Man Logan comic, ie, Wolverine, but not called Wolverine, for copyrite and licensing issues...

It's by Fox and continuation of the XMen universe, it's going to be Jackmans last run as Wolverine (supposedly).

He is approaching 50. I'm not sure he wants to constantly be working out and eating grilled chicken for another 3 years to do another Wolverine or X-Men movie.

He strikes me as a guy who could totally pull a stallone and look amazing into his 70s.

He is in top shape all year long so he really only amps up his workout maybe 3-5 months prior to filming, plus dude eats steaks prepared by a chef for him. I know it gets tiring but he isn't eating a high-protein plebeian diet like most of us regular folks.

Dude can certainly pull it off if he wanted to stay for another film or two.

To me though, Jackman is Wolverine (despite the horrible films) and it is going to be tough for the next guy that takes that mantle,

Nice that the script pretty plainly drops the f-bomb right off the bat. R-rating here we come.

I always thought Jason Statham would be a better fit- has the gravelly voice I always expected of Logan, and he's short (Wolverine's like Tom Cruise-height). He's too old for a reboot of the character as well, though.

The Deadpool effect. Or a mirror of what happened with comics decades ago, moving to more adult themes.

Off-topic, maybe, but I'm in a bind and was hoping one of you could help me out...

Does anyone know a couple titles that Brian Bendis is currently writing? Preferably good ones...

This is tremendously hard to Google for some reason.

Also, I just noticed that Michael Crichton wrote both Westworld and Jurassic Park -- making him an unlikely influence upon George Saunders?

Still very excited to see where the new Westworld goes, what the exact deal is with Ed Harris, anyway.
