So no one else was annoyed by the little kids voice?

He is a kid.

I realize that, but it's disjointing because he doesn't really look that way in costume. I know it's comics and artists can do things that you can't IRL, but Ultimate Spider-Man always nailed it. He was drawn to still look like a kid in a costume. Something about casting him so young doesn't seem to translate well on screen. I don't have a solution to fix this, just pointing it out.

I will say Ultimate Comics handled his age in terms of the larger universe nicely. The Ultimates (the universe's version of the Avengers) didn't let him join at first. Because he was too young and untrained. It was too dangerous and even "unethical" to bring on someone so young into fights with deadly villains. I believe that evolved as time went out, but only after they felt he was ready.

In current Marvel comics Peter is an adult with years of experience. It makes sense letting him onto the team. I'm not sure how it will play in the MCU having Peter start out so young and teaming up with the adults on screen to get into life threatening battles.

Hopefully they are aware of this and weave it into the narrative as the films get made and time goes by.

He looks a lot like Ultimate Peter Parker outside of the costume though. I imagine they are going to try to match the feeling of the Bendis era so I don't think you have to worry.

Edit: also, in the ultimate run, Tony and Cap clashed about whether he should be on the team. Tony thought he was fine and Cap didn't think he was responsible, so Tony starts giving him superhero lessons. Seems possible to have a similar track in the movie.

Damn this talk of "Ultimate Spider-Man" makes me wanna get my old trades out of storage. One of my favs was the issue where it just had Peter and (black) Nick Fury talking. Bendis ruled.

Also I don't keep up with current Marvel comics but isn't the Spidey currently in the Avengers the teenage Miles Morales?

Apparently that photo was just coincidental, and he wasn't actually trying to look like Peter Parker.

Considering this is how a ps4 game looks like, I wouldn´t mind that.o

I´ve been checking out Tom Holland´s instagram and the kid has some really cool vids of him doing a lot of sick flips. He has the look of a young Peter, he´s putting a lot of effor towards the role, not by just putting muscle but he can actually do a few of the things spidey does.

WTF? They are bringing back The Tick? And still no Firefly?

I give up.
