Walter Chaw over at Film Freak Central is quite insightful.

Jeremy Jahns is the only critic/reviewer I constantly view. I don't always agree but I like his perspective most of the time.

Oh, I do enjoy him on the Avengers. What was it? The first story when Electro broke everybody out of the Raft? That was pretty good. He has good chemistry to with them. I just don't like associating him with any given team. Before the Avengers actually, you could argue he was as much a part of the Fantastic Four because of a lot of 90s crossovers involving him and the family.

Oh yeah, that's right...there was the story that began with the Raft, and then the next volume -- New Avengers Vol. 2, I think -- involved everyone having to go to the future to convince Ultron to team-up with them. Which sounds so shitty now that I type it out, but was really, really well-done, I thought.

I think I essentially agree with Jr Mouse about Spiderman not really making sense with a team, but then all of his best moments were built around this fact, which I enjoyed. And the core Avengers always seemed so straight-laced, or maybe too much of an antiquated square-jawed capitalist/industrialist penis fantasy that throwing in those new elements like Spider-man or Daredevil or Luke Cage really evened things out.

Anyway, maybe the script's got a shitty title, but here's hoping they deliver the same quality they've been serving up.

My favourite role was him on CIVIL WAR. Soooo good. I feel other than that, his role is to be picked on and teased (not in a malicious way) because he's kinda the little brother among gods, super-powered leaders, etc. Spidey always finds a way to flip it around on them though. Plus; they truly respect his skills, character, and leadership. :nodding:

Batman looks great. Easily the most authentic costume on screen yet. Perfect.
