Neo_Version 7: "I was so incensed by the bad quicksilver art that i didn't see days of future past because the bad promo art was a really strong indicator of the quality of that movie, because I'm a fanboy with no sense of perspective."

Also, his looks might be influenced by the timeframe of the film, the 80s.

Not really gon' matter as long as Singer pulls off one of these again, probably the best fight scene he has ever made before the Quickliver scene in DoFP.

No, it didn't end up being pretty good in the movie. Quicksilver still looked like shit. Movie was good despite that, and his scene breaking Magneto out of jail was one of the best mutant powers demonstrations ever.

Jubilee! If the movie doesn't end with her riding off into the sunset with Wolverine on the back of his motorcycle I'll be disappoint.

JB is your go-to critic? :puzzled: Just makes me miss the Ebert even more.

Anyways: I'm re-watching Tuff Turf (featuring the 1-2 punch of a young Downey + Spader) as a prequel to Age of Ultron. Much more exciting that way. Spader, btw, is a real workhorse, and makes the best of any role, and have no doubt he'll add some dimension to that tin can of a character.

@neo: why u no like Spidey as an avenger? New Avengers (esp the beginnings of each volume, before the bullshitty crossovers and whatnot ) was mostly pretty great, i thought -- he was great with them.

And yet it will still likely make more money than the first one.

I've said it before, but Spidey works best as a loner with an occasional team-up. Having him join a team long term doesn't fit the character that well. The closest I saw it working recently was when he joined the FF after the Human Torch's "death," but it was known from day one he wasn't going to stick around for the long haul.

I just don't care for the idea of Parker being an Avenger.
