The Extended Universe had tons of offbeat lightsaber designs. I’m fairly sure the EU comics showed double bladed lightsabers years before TPM hit theaters.

That was actually in EU books as well as the KOTR games.

**** Rebels has bad guys gliding around on spinning lightsabers like a helicopter. Some people get off on that ****. I am fine with Kylo’s Lightsaber but it’s not like the franchise needs more of these things. The original design is a classic.

I’d put good money down that the “dark side Ray” shot is from a vision. Similar to Luke in ESB.

This has been argued to death since before TFA even came out. I think the design is fine.

A hilt seems like a pretty useful thing for a lightsaber. Otherwise, it'd make a ton of sense to just constantly attack the hilt/wrist area. One hit and they're out of commission, and it's a real low risk play.

A laser sword would be so dangerous to use that no one would be spinning then around and doing any type of fancy swordplay. I know “The Force” is the correct answer, but lightsabers are not very practical weapons.

It would not matter, those fencers who I know are don’t get hit by their own blades. Having done little fencing I barely even recall hitting myself.. I guess that it is not something that skilled person would ever consider a big problem

Yeah. It wasn't developed enough, sadly. I keep hoping for a new KOTR though.

I’d love them to remake KOTOR. Modern graphics. Keep the general gameplay, story and score with minor tweaks if needed.

It’s a fantastic game.
