For me, I am sticking with it and am excited to see how the storylines intersect at some point.

if she works for the imperial war lord why not take him out of Coruscant here and now. Plus the whole disillusionment with corporate job that's takes more than week of work, this could be spread as back story for 2-3 episodes with some cool action in the meanwhile, putting it all in one episode was a questionable directing choice.
