I remember when Gal Gadot was announced as Wonder Woman, fan boys lost their **** over it saying she was too skinny and that Gina would’ve been better. They would post pictures of fighting weight Gina as proof not realizing Gina was like 30 lbs bigger at the time compared to her fighting weight. Ronda was also thrown around but she had 2 big problems. She can’t act for **** and she looked more like Amy Schumer than Wonder Woman. Gal proved to be the right person.
There's no part of Gal Gadot that I wouldn't put in my mouth...

#metoo...
Reminds me of Michael Pena.
I love his work, and then I found out he's a rabid $cientologist.
I have a hard time separating someone's private and professional life.
Aww, dammit. I didn't want to know that. I'm like you- it's better when I don't know anything about the person, because usually they're a mess.

It's definitely better not to think about what kind of person anyone in Hollywood is in real life.

Also, on topic: I liked the latest episode and the sort of leisurely way they're getting around to having a storyline.

I thought Gal was a great choice from day one. She always had the looks. The only concern I had was with her acting having to been too familiar with her work. She nailed the part. It might be one of the best superhero casting choices in decades considering how wrong it could have gone. Wonder Woman is a fantastic character, but the movie could have easily tanked if Gal didn't feel right in the role.

I agree. Gal put on a few lbs of muscle/fat to not look like so skinny and really nailed the part along with the accent. Gina would need to lose a good 20 lbs to come close to looking the part and would need some serious acting lessons. She can't act for **** even though she's a huge step up from Ronda.

I definitely thought Gal was too skinny to be Wonder Woman. I also thought Hugh Jackman was waaaaay too tall and too wooden (granted the early movie scripts sucked balls) to be Wolverine. He grew into the role and she might do so as well.

Hugh Jackson transformation from the first X-men (not bad, but okay) to Logan was amazing

I thought that Charlize Theron would have been a natural fit for Wonder Woman except that she is too old. Katherine Heigl in a dark wig could have pulled it off

Elodie Yung (Elektra from Daredevil) would have made the athletic scenes more believable and IMO she's a much better actress that Gal Gadet but she's even skinnier plus marketing might fret that some would object to her mixed heritage/ethnicity so back to square 1

Katrina Law from Spartacus would have made credible Wonder Woman but again that partial Asian ancestry might have made her "unsuitable"

Comics from the 90's really cemented the idea of a female superhero looking like muscular Appreciation stars in a lot of people's minds. Male superheroes skew towards the roided look for the same reason.

Never made much sense. If you are Superman and your powers come from our yellow Sun, why would you need to be built like a young Arnold Schwarzenegger? You can make a stronger case for Wonder Woman since she's an Amazon, but I don't have an issue with her being portrayed by a naturally slender woman without much muscle mass.

Batman doesn't have any power so he would need to be in incredible shape to do what he does.

I haven't been keeping up with comics since the 1990's but aren't they moving back towards more realistic looking heroes now? Instead of roided out men and muscular looking pornstar women, it's just athletic looking people.

In the last episode, Gina Carano looks as big as a barn...
She should join the Hutt's at this point.

that makes her handling of hostile aliens more believeable, she is still good looking though

I like her character FWIW.

well she could be actual shock trooper and kill (illegal) aliens for Trump I like that, makes her character even more believable

btw what happened that I am out of all people here defending a female character?
