I think they have oversold the whole Jedi thing in the prequels and in the Acolyte. When Sol was telling Osha that there were "thousands" of younglings at the Jedi temple just like her, my first thought was "how special could they really be, then?" It seems to me that the whole Jedi mystique gets diluted a lot when they're everywhere.
I get that, but Star Wars never seems like it's taking place on that scale (which I think is a good thing). But I get what you're saying and it makes sense.A few thousand in a galaxy with trillions of sentient lifeforms. According to Wookipedia there were over 1 trillion people living on Coruscant alone.

A trillion people on Coruscant? Dang.
An entire planet of dense city sounds hellish.
Just the first three Thrawn novels. First new Star Wars in quite a while for me. Tried some of the later Zahn stuff but found them dull.Do you mean the 90s Thrawn novels? Or the new canon ones from 2017? I thought all six since 2017 were good.
Also KOTR and KOTR 2 were amazing games.
I like both Qui Gon and Darth Maul.
I tried to read the first Zahn novel, didn't get into it.Are any of the SW books other than Thrawn series worth reading?
So, no, almost none of the SW books are worth reading. The first one was Alan Dean Foster’s Splinter of the Mind’s Eye that came out right after the first movie. He also ghost wrote the movie novelization for Lucas.I tried to read the first Zahn novel, didn't get into it.
But this was pretty fu<king great. Zombie wookies!

I remember reading that when it came out and then having to recalibrate my understanding of things when ESB came out. I think it was my first time dealing with trying to reconcile canon/non-canon in a storyline. I would have been nine or ten years old when I read it.So, no, almost none of the SW books are worth reading. I remember liking it but was also in Junior High.
13 year old me would say yes.Are any of the SW books other than Thrawn series worth reading?
