'I gave you props for doing it at the time.' Those words right there show you had the mistaken idea, your evaluation of the spoilers was paramount. Anyway, I think you're a valuable poster in all things nerd, especially since you're eager and a know it all, but you're wrong here.

Spoiling this so RFX doesn't get his panties in a bunch again. Someone managed to snag a Lego mini fig of Maz Kanata. I think this is our first close up of her motion captured character.

:lol you're the one who was bitchin about spoiler but has no respect for others and I'm the one with my panties in a bunch? Even worse is you still do not get why it is a spoiler and continue to fight for it then claim it is becoming a dumb thread yet continue what you claim as idiocy. :brick:

Nobody has commented on the most significant thing about the last few pages, which is that they reflect Harold's success in his long campaign to re-integrate the useful term "retard" to common parlance.

That Abram's interview was pretty cool to read. Not super informative, but a good look at him, himself.

And just to needlessly weigh in on the spoiler controversy, I find myself more team-RFX than team-JRM on this issue.

Have I used "retard" too often lately? I only try to sprinkle it in. I will dial it back.

Re: that Luke photo above - when did Luke wear anything remotely like that? That's not the white desert robes from ANH, the Bespin jumpsuit, nor from ROTJ. His hair looks like ANH there, but wearing Han's clothes.

It looks like his medal scene outfit from ANH, but without the jacket.

I always loved that jacket. Would have been cool if he had carried it over to the next films. It would have fit in well with the original vision of a Jedi's outfit which was much close to what Luke wore at the end of ROTJ then the robes that have become the standard for the franchise.

Originally the robes were not meant to be a Jedi's outfit. In fact the reason Obi-Wan was wearing robes in ANH was to blend in to the natives and be inconspicuous. He was in hiding. It never really made sense for him to have been wearing a Jedi's uniform in public like that.

My understanding is the form fitting outfit Luke wore when confronting Vader in ROTJ was much closer to the original design for the Jedi. There are comics that came out before ROTJ that actually depict Jedi is such outfits.

That all changed when Lucas decided to go with the robes. Thus why the force ghost Anakin at the end and prequels showed them in the robes. It's just one of many changes Lucas made to the movies while in development of the OT.

Found the images I was referencing from the comic.

Star Wars #24. I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be a young Obi Wan.
