I have the zipper tote -- I had wanted the tan, but it wasn't available and I was getting a ridiculous deal, so I warily pulled the trigger on the brown. I'm very happy with it, and actually glad it was available rather than the tan, because the brown is aging and fading so slowly and beautifully.

That said, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a briefcase, and will likely go tan to add some variety. Go with your gut, I don't think you'll be upset with either choice.

This isn't really a "deal", per se, but I think given its popularity, there will be a few biters at least. Yoox has a near full size run of most silent basics for their fw collection. Unfortunately, prices are bit higher than gilt prices.

yeah code for bags does not work. but affiliate cranes has them with a discount and free shipping too (but only if you call the store since coupons are not supposed to be allowed for filson anymore)

And Cable Car's discount is larger than Crane's... the price difference for me was $3 dollars I think.
