There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I was going to say check your email for tres bien codes. I was able to snag the pink colorway in a size 43 for $268 shipped. I didnt check the other sizes. Still a decent deal. My tan pair from OC is scheduled for delivery today. They are also size 43 if I decide not to keep them.

Thanks... yeah I checked TB. Trying to get size 41 in lows in a colorway for a good price I want has been quite the challenge.

Every country gets the heroes it deserves.

I've done my part and gotten a Remi Relief down vest. It is 90F outside today. Have YOU done your part?

Banana Republic has an excellent sale going on in store and today is the last day. I know it's not a very Styleforum approved brand, but they have great basics, offer great value in some cases and I found a few gems yesterday. I went in for basics and thought I'd check out the shorts as they had some cool prints (an ikat and this "tile print" in linen) when I walked in. Here's how it works:

-40% off if you spend $200 after promotional disounts and before sales tax (so subtotal of $200)
-30%-50% off select full price items.
    -New markdowns taken last week.
-You can add any cardmember rewards after that.

    Here's what seemed worthwhile:

-Shorts 50% off and then the 40% after that once you hit $200. They have really improved their short fits and have some nice prints. I was pleasantly surprised with what I found.
    -Polos 50% + 40% (nothing I fancied, but a good deal).
    -Dress shirts 30% + 40%
    -Underwear 30% + 40%
    -Ties 40% + 40%
    -Suits 30% + 40%
-Skinny fit chinos in the sale section (you may need to have them check in back for sizes) for ~$13 after all discounts.

I grabbed some shorts and a great linen/cotton blend tie. Anyway, they're giving stuff away and it's not like they're sitting on a ton of inventory. I know the manager and he said he wasn't happy they were layering that extra 40% off but that his entire staff was taking advantage as it's the best discount they've seen in years.

I bought these Officine Creative back-zips off the Corner. They haven't gotten here yet - ostensibly they will today - but my guess is that they will fail spectacularly. On the other hand, they might turn out to be the ideal complement to the white slub cotton suit I plan on wearing to a wedding this weekend.

It has nothing to do with "sale time" and I wasn't inquiring with them. Had I done so I would have expected them. From what I've seen this season they don't have many (if any?) measurements where just last season and for years before they did.

I didn't ask. On top of that their not providing measurements makes me less inclined to buy in some cases as returning shipping from the States isn't cheap and some brands sizing can change over time.

Yeah, I'm really curious to see what it's like in person. I figure it's worth the price of return shipping to find out. I'm putting the odds at 80:20 for terrible vs. awesome.

I did measurements for 100 unique items once. It was gruesome. A lot of garments are difficult to measure, so you are sure to displease someone. Compounded on top of that, the measurements typically given are about 1/2 of the measurements needed to really show the fit. I have been seeing a lot of retailers move to the "the model is 6', 40" chest, 32" waist, and wears a M", which is undisputedly easier, and arguably a better system, as long as the fit model is a true fit model, and not a wannable runway model. 6'-6'1", size 38-40, with no more than a 8" drop, and no real bulkiness, but not super skinny either. Frankly, if you are not within a pretty "average" body type, it's unlikely that you are going to get a good idea of fit without trying on the garment, in any case.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a relatively time consuming process and as you note the measurements may not be made the same way the consumer would. Still I find it helpful with some brands that I'm not familiar with and in my case it's not like I'm in a market where I can just go try on a lot of brands that interest me. Of course none of that is End's problem and they have a business to run on top of them surely being willing to provide measurements upon request. However for me it's unfortunate as they have since I've been buying from them always provided them and they've been quite helpful, and this is coming from someone who has spent a small fortune with them over the past few years considering all the Cabourn alone that I've purchased.

Ummm.....but they do provide measurements. Every item has a sizing tab in the description:

If you click on the "size help and measurements" link, you get detailed measurements:

Damn. I never clicked on that link as I thought it was just generic measurements. The just switched things up on me. Thanks for pointing that out!

Does TBS restock monthly? Quarterly? I've noticed they had the low white achilles in a 46 for a while now. Am waiting for another sale from them (specifically that shoe) patiently.
