1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

CP's come out to $290USD shipped to Canada. Is that a good price? will I get nailed with customs?

tres bien has pretty good prices. $300 shipped to the US for mids, and less for lows. Free shipping this weekend as well.

I've never owned CP's, think white or light grey is more versatile? The blinding white sneaker effect doesn't do much for me, but I feel that might be muted by the fact that it's leather?

I love the greys and they are extremely versatile. I do reach for them a lot when I don't want that bright white high contrast look.

If you need some convincing that bright white shoes can look sweet, check out some Balenciaga lookbooks. They love that ish.

Hahah, I am thoroughly confused now.

Would it matter that I live in a place where it rains quite a bit, and they would likely get dirty quite a bit?

I mean, I like both grey and white sneaks. They can coexist. If you can only afford one, just pick what excites you the most at the moment?

    black?

just get the gray, sounds like you've made up your mind. I like white better but that's my personal preference. if you're gonna wear em a lot, in rain etc, they won't be shiny bright for long

Yeah, I think light grey is the best option!

I usually wear darker denim or black pants, and overall, most of my clothes are geared towards darker color. I foresee too much contrast was really white sneakers with the majority of my outfits.

White is probably ideal in summer, but where I live (overcast much of the year), light grey will be more versatile year round!

    Thanks guys :)

I don't own any CPs, but any white sneakers aren't going to stay white for very long, and isn't part of the idea that it'll get a nice worn-in look? It won't always be blinding white, so if that's a concern I don't think it should be.

Just my 2 cents from owning a pair of white Jack Purcells.
