1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Made in Italy can be nice or bad, same with all other countries.

Funny thing is most people don't know how to judge quality, they have no idea how things are made. Some others just by looking at country of origin, which is hilarious.

I'd love to hear how you judge the quality of a garment.

i think so but shipping is pretty expensive. I remember trying it last year when an item I wanted was sold out but I didn't end up going through.

£30 to the U.S. (or about $46) last time I ordered. I did find the UK site to have lower prices on some stuff (SLP denim jacket in this instance) and lots more stuff that sells out here but doesn't do too well there.

Very interesting. Didn't think it was possible but could be helpful considering stock is different

I remember now that they actually refunded the shipping charges as it was a high price item. Sweet deal.

After that I asked them about another piece (which I didn't end up kopping) but they would have waived the shipping on that. I was pretty impressed.

Woodlands has so much EG on sale, but you have to e-mail special order or call. Just went up.

To follow up, is there anything special I have to do to be able to order from the UK store (I haven't actually tried, yet)?

And this is probably obvious, but I'm assuming that there will be customs/duties fees?

It's been a while, but you need to create a separate account. You need to switch to the uk site in order to do that.

Last time I ordered from uk site, they took off vat but added US duty.

On an $800 order I paid $76 in duties. No VAT and I didn't get any follow-up charge surprises either.
