1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yep, the actual Baracuta's got a huge price increase about 2 years ago maybe? Time to get harrington jackets from somewhere else.

Tons of designers make Harringtons. Fred Perry is probably the cheapest, being about 80 bucks or so on eBay. But fashion forward "classic" lines like RL and Brooks will come out with them regularly as well.

Designers with slightly more conservative/ traditional bends will also stock them. APC regularly does, for example. Oi Polloi, IIRC, also came out with a house label that stocked one. It's a pretty standard design.

IMO, they don't look as good in person as one would think. I like the British racing green version that Oi Polloi bought from Baracuta this past season, but a lot of the standard colors are either hard to wear or a bit boring. The chances that you'd come out looking like my dad are a lot higher than you coming out looking like Steve McQueen.

ToJ had a leather version for a while that I thought looked really good. @gdl203 has it in olive green. I've only seen photos of it, but I thought it looked really nice.

This is so true, and it brings to mind one of my favorite menswear posts ever: Bullitt vs. Oh, God

Lab series F&F sales. I really should look for an alternative they seem overpriced. But then they do seem to work best for my face..

I also didn't understand the comment, and was surprised to see it had so many likes. I couldn't tell if he was serious, or if he was being sarcastic or what. Plus this is after all a sales thread, where every other post is asking for a discount on CPs or GATs. Also, for a thread with sometimes 2-3 pages straight of bullshit sales codes, it seems mighty big of someone to be annoyed by harrington jacket talk.

no, i didn't really mean it but it's pretty much the basement of fashion if you are waiting for a cheap jacket to get cheaper

Except... it's no longer a cheap jacket, as has been pointed out.
