One of items I ordered off Mr. Porter has subsequently dropped in price, and it hasn't even shipped yet! Anyone know the procedure to get a partial refund?

How does Mr.P **** everything up so badly every single season when they've had nine years to prepare and improve?

Their website is completely down (Unable to locate the server requested --- the server does not have a DNS entry), and if you try to reach them by phone, prepare to be subjected to 15 seconds of an annoying whistling pop song on infinite loop.

EDIT: at least they finally have a custom 404 page up. "Sorry for the inconvenience," you will be told on arrival.

Ebay has an awful music loop, and Barneys perhaps had the worst. The same thing, over and over again, ******* torture

FYI/PSA: Mr. Porter's entire order/inventory system is down, not just their website.

You cannot place an order right now, either online or by phone. If you phone them, they can have someone call you back to take your order once service is restored.

There was some comment in a Reddit thread a year ago who claimed to have insight into Mr. Ps inner workings, and they basically said that both the tech stack and the organization is a complete ******* mess, with no improving outlook back then.

Everything I see as a consumer points to this being the case.

Yeah, I'm thinking of cancelling the order and re-ordering. My size is not in stock anymore (so they would be justified in not offering me a price adjustment), but maybe I'll chance it!

During last year's sale, I called and told them that an item I ordered had been further reduced. The item had shipped, but had not yet arrived. They refunded me the price difference. Worth a shot, I think.
