Those were the RB waxed (and lined) Dakotas correct? they werent the ones from s/s line that were like a lighter material were they?
no this looked like a heavy one (it was lined) from f/w. they had one of the apc plaid trenches in M too.. most of the APC was full price though (including the pea coats). a lot of ugly prada and marc by mj on sale. their shoe selection is shit as usual; some 'ok' looking barneys desert boots marked down to like $80

yea I tried that heavy dakota and the fit was terrible, it all belled out at the bottom and was way tight up top, I was very dissapointed, and then the sales guy said that is the style of it...

that guy is dumb.. I think it's just one of those pieces that just fits you well or it doesn't. I might pick it up if it drops below $100 tho

Paul Smith stores (LA and NYC) are having a 3 day 50% off the entire store "private sale". ... I dont know if you can just go in and buy stuff at 50% off without the card...?

do they take phone orders? i am pondering those cut-out grey laceups

^^ My guess is that they probably will, as well as give the discount to everyone instore...it seems in this economic climate they're not going to turn away a chance to reduce stock and put some $ in their tills.

went to the sale today, it is actually a literal 'private sale' that is not avail to everyone. You do need the card to get the 50% off, you can't just say you know about it and ask for it. oh well.

I saw Prps on sale at Barneys last weekend... Didn't look closer because I wasn't really looking for jeans.

I dont know how open this sale is for "everyone" but I got a card in the mail that Paul Smith stores (LA and NYC) are having a 3 day 50% off the entire store "private sale". The card says it's "non-transferable and card must be presented at time of purchase to receive discount" so I dont know if you can just go in and buy stuff at 50% off without the card...?

if anyone in nyc has a card and won't be using it (or is willing to take me along) , let me know please...

Sperry Blue Point Chukka Boot for $59

    http://www1.macys.com/catalog/produc...xx.esn_results

I saw these posted a little while back but they were much lighter (and cooler looking). I still bought a pair of the tan ones. Price was right and I figured I could always return them.

yeah the jacket was too wide/loose at the bottom. but i bought the black one anyway and took it to a good tailor. now it is perfect and i wear it quite a bit. pretty versatile...

I am pretty sure the ones you saw posted were not the same as the 'blue point chukkas', the ones you are refering to are those on FTGG and I dont think they are the blue point but I could be wrong can anyone verify?

    here are the FTGG ones
