Btw, must be quite a few orders in now. When I called back to add the brown boots, the woman mentioned all my fashion forum buddies have been keeping her busy

lol. I was asked what forum was it that i got the info from about the discount. They will be getting plenty of calls no doubt.

I am quite reluctant to drop the cash on these because of sizing issues. I am a UK 9 G on Church's. They said a dayton's 9 would fit me fine. Anyone care to drop in their personal sizing info??

I don't recall off hand what size i got, i went through the process with them of taking measurements of different parts of my feet and providing those. they then determined the proper size for me and they fit like a glove.

Yes mine are a peppled black leather, i believe at one point w+h were sold in that, however my intentions were not to have an IDENTICAL boot made.. i wanted the same silloutte but went with a thicker grade leather also.

Dayton have great service and loads of options if you want to customize your own boot a bit. I was offered a handful of sole options, leather/suede options, even options on the leather pull on the back.

Call and ask- but Im pretty sure even the w+h boot is actually the oiled leather, which is a matte finish.

Call and ask if they come with non-leather laces and that horrible rubber sole. This was the case for every pair of non-w+h Dayton's I've seen posted on the web to date.

Again, all you have to do is request the w+h boots. There will be only two differences, the distressing, and the w+h stamp.

All you guys worried about sizing, call- they'll fit you.

If you ask for the exact wing style you will get the leather sole. just be sure to ask for it. As far as leather laces.. mine did not come with them, but they are a couple bucks at walmart. As long as you tell them the wings boot you will not get the other dayton service boot.

ya the only differences are cosmetic. A Dayton branding on the upper and a stamp on the leather sole.

Mine didn't come with leather laces or a rubber sole. You might have to ask for those. If you haven't called and asked about them already ask for the wings + horns. I will try and post some pics or my brown oil tanned boots later.

so just put my order in ... asked for wings horns specific boot with leather sole in black. she said they will be identical to the wings horns service boot the leather is a black oiled tan leather as pictured below
confederate-2008C.jpg
she recommended to add some layer between the sole to prolong the life of the boot service boot plus shipping to US, minus discount of 150 and no tax, ready in 4 weeks came to $304 even Edit: sizing tip ... take your brannock device size and go down 1 ... ie for me i am a 9 and took the 8 for dayton
