Thank you for your response! I will go with an XL.if you wear a 42 in American brands, a L in APC tops will be tight. If you like that look, go with L. For a more "natural" look, go with XL.

I am same size as you 42 R in US sport coat & jacket etc. I normally go 52 number some time it’s L some times it’s XL. Varies from brand to brand. But if you want to layer go XL trim fit go with L.I was interested in an A.P.C jacket at Mr. Porter but they sold out. I saw the same jacket at another store, however, it's a final sale item. I have never owned a jacket from A.P.C but I do have a couple of shirts in large which fit me well. Also, I wear a 42 in coats/blazers. I was looking at the sizing on MR. P and A.P.C's site and it says a 42 is XL. Anyone have experience with their jackets? Should I go with a large or XL? Thanks!
