Do I have to email LN-CC to get them to update my account for the VAT? It's not showing up, but I'm wondering if it does at checkout.

Thanks for this heads up, man.

I visited their newbury st store for the first time last week and was pretty impressed...

unfortunately this offer is for their north end location, which is a fraction the size of newbury.

yes, as several people have already explained, email them and they'll add you to the list.

I thought they closed their north end location and moved completely to newbury shop, guess I was wrong.

But yeah their shop was nice and neat, they even provide haircut services, but I will ever spend $90+ on a haircut tho.

I get the VAT at checkout, but if you don't get it then you should email. they reply rather quickly if you do email them. 20% VAT free is sweet.

now just hope I don't get ding on delivery...

thats my point. what should i be wearing according to Synthese? 99% lycra black jeggings and GAT's?

My dad handed me down his desert boots from McGill University he wore in 1978. My mom wore Desert Treks and encouraged me to buy a pair when i was 16 or 17. I didn't say to him the selvedge denim was "new" or not mass-appeal at this point, but it doesnt make them played out or lame.

So many people used to ask me where I got my desert boots when i first got to uni. I told them "clarks." Of course I see them everywhere now, but that just goes to show how great they are. Im always impressed when I see someone with a pair of Rogue Territories or Epaulet Rivets (almost never IRL) or a good looking pair of chukkas (be it clarks, alden, grenson, etc etc). It's a good look, and they never really go away.

There's nothing wrong with wearing a pair of Sebago's or Sperry's. They're not always gonna be a hipster Urban Outfitters craze, but they will never stop making them. they've been around forever and all my dad's friends have always worn them, year round, with socks no less.

Some things slip in and out of what's trendy, but the real classics never disappear. Through wayfarers in there too (though I have retired my Ray Bans for the time being. Some things are just a little too saturated.)

Rant over. I just don't think it's that obnoxious as Synthese said it was for someone to wear a good fitting pair of strong denim and a great looking chukka. Don't get the hate.

so had I, but it seems its still open and the point of the gilt deal is to drive traffic to the North End. If you look at the fine print you can only use it on the weekends, which is kind of pointless. I mean, even if you're visiting on a weekday you're still visiting, and isn't that the point?

I'd noticed the barbershop at newbury and thought it was a nice touch, but $90 for a cut is full retard.

still, I'm stoked that boston has something like Ball & Buck...even if my buddy who was visiting thought I was taking him to an S&M shop when I mentioned the name.

Apology not accepted. This stuff is ruining the thread. I don't think anyone mentioned the HAVEN sale. There are some nice items marked down already, and I'm guessing they will follow Roden Gray pretty soon and lower the prices a bit more to clear out.

"They've been making them for a long time" doesn't denote greatness. They've been making Cream of Wheat for 119 years, but that doesn't mean I want to see it in front of me at breakfast.

It's possible, but I can't say for sure. Because it's our own line, we don't want to undercut other stores that carry it...so we're trying to be sensitive to pricing.
