Diptyque statrts tomorrow and Barney's sale is still going I think.
Ooh Diptyque proxy?
I'll keep an eye out. Not sure if I will make it tomorrow. If not, I will try for Friday.
What are you looking for?
1.7 oz Philosykos mostly and/or a small Figuier candle.
Do you mean warehouse sale?
I am looking for Philosykos too. From what I have read, the more popular stuff goes quick or there is none of it.
Sorry, yes, that's what I meant.
Do you like Philosykos?
I'm torn on it....It's strange...it doesn't smell like a real fig tree at all, more like white cedar with some other stuff in there that I can't make out...real fig tress have a peculiar smell of their own....
I just won't wear Philosykos on principle...They advertise it as the smell of a Greek summer's day, which always cracks me up how deluded buyers are and how outright delusory the ad-men can be...if anybody wants the smell of a Greek summer's day today, try the smell of tires on fire, a small wooden building also on fire, a good whiff of tear-gas and pepper-spray, the smell of smoke, the smell of B.O. from hours of standing under the sun screaming and protesting, and the smell of police rubber truncheons and protective shields....
and where are you from so we can make an ignorant blanket statement about what your home country may smell like?
Miran, surely being from such a wonderful land full of such beautiful people you have other smells that may remind you of your younger, happier days, no?
He's Greek. Or at least, sorta Greek.
Assumed he came from the Internet.
Like if you left Internet alone, it would naturally grow troll.
Anyone recall what sizes did Mr P have when they had the sale ?
Saw the sale back then but regretted i didn't cop -_- oh well i will wait for next sale
if he's a fellow greek then I'm magically no longer offended by his post
Yes I do like the smell, but don't know about their advertising. Was drawn in by the scent.
I heard about it through a blurb that the Ovadia & Sons guys had on GQ of their 10 essentials and thought I should give it a try. It sort of smells like this old Cerruti Image cologne I had or a Marc Jacobs fig based cologne they are selling now.
