Glad you said that, looking at the trench in person its a burgundy/muted plum color. I would get way more use out of the burberry trench, the Spurr jacket is impressive more because of the quality and materials. But I'm not sure when or what situations I would end up wearing it.

Stopped by Fred Segal Santa Monica today to check out 50% sale. was mostly interested in basics so bought a few v::room crewnecks. FS Man has some WH fishtail parkas I think in L and XL and bunch of their White Mountaineering outerwear for sale. Still too much for me at 50% off.

Most frustrating experience I've ever had trying to make a purchase.

First, the check out process (filling in card details etc) is not very user friendly. Then, it literally stayed on 'processing order' for an hour before I shut it down. Later on it refused to add anything to the cart at all. F*ck that.

Yeah, my checkout page was connecting for like 5 minutes after I hit submit. Fortunately I was patient and it went through.

FS Man is really the only place I've ever seen Wings and Horns XXL stuff, they have a fair amount of it, so if that's your size you're in a ton of luck. I really only looked at their WH and Robert Geller offerings. There seems to be a bunch of stuff that might interest people. I imagine by next week it'll be really picked over.

On the other side (east side of 5th street) there's the other men's store that carries V::room, of which there's a lot to choose from, mostly L and XL sizes. There was some fantastic Nigel Cabourn stuff, but like White Mountaineering, even at 50% off it's still too much for me.

You sound like you are interested in shopping for larger sizes (as am I). Does Geller makes stuff for bigger dudes? The largest waist size I've ever seen for geller is 33 and biggest top size is 52, whereas I require 36 and 54, respectively.

Skip, if you're interested in Geller knits, the 52 fit a bit large. You should try them. Also, Ervell XL and SS 7 should work for you in most tops, particularly knits.

Forget about Geller shirting, though, skip. 52 is as high as they go and with the slim arms and high arm holes, most of them can feel slightly smaller than tagged depending on how accustomed you are to wearing shrinkwrap.
