Love TATA, that's what my tee with the removable screen printed madras.. thing is
Their whole concept is actually all-over prints of existing clothes, things like that. And they've been doing it as full collections since before Junya did a single piece with it
Imagine a whole outfit of printed on pieces, or you could have some overalls with erasable outer surface on which you'd print your outfit of the day each morning.
The possibilites are endless. Total deception.
I didn't realize Talking About The Abstraction was a known brand. Or rather, I guess the fact that it's been consigned to this thread means it's not really "known," even on SF, but at least some people have heard of it -- which means you know at least as much as I do. I came across a couple of their pieces on eBay a few years ago without knowing anything about them (had no clue about the Japan connection, for instance), and I still have the pics saved:
^Nice, camo shorts are pretty cool.
There is one piece on eBay right now but it's not so great. not printed. would be cool if it wasn't for the dangly tassle things on the front too.
This was really cool and was up a while ago. In retrospect I really wish I got it.
Those things give me a headache
Hey tween, does it sound like the designs you posted are getting grandfathered into next fall's collection? I like that paisley-sleeve-hem tee, would buy it right now if it was available and under $100 ... on that note, any idea of the pricing?
When I spoke with him the first time, he said first releases would be in August, so when I emailed him last night I asked if that would include both the spring looking stuff as well as fall, among other things. I didn't ask about price yet, but I might in the future.
Here's what he wrote back:
We are working on launching our e-commerce site soon and will be slowly adding limited edition pieces throughout the year. Our plan is to operate a little more like Supreme and just make items as and when in short runs.
You will be the first to know when we are up and running and thanks for spreading the word.
That hallucinogenic "Europe" jacket is insane[ly badass].
Reminds me of the animation in Yellow Submarine a little bit
holy fuck i want all that bohemians stuff
More Ganryu (CdG)
SS12, some of which will be in stores now or soon.
It's cool but not really sure that it's for me
Some scans from Get Outside magazine.
