To add to the list - Just purchased an 18kt gold vintage Universal Geneve Calendar/Moonphase a few days ago.

I caved as well, and bought a Formosa SC. Though I kind of needed a SC, and it was kind of what I was saving for, so I am okay with it .

I am debating making a reasonable purchase club. Set a limit per month, and not spend over that limit.

How about a grail/focused purchase club? Where people enter with a proposed specific target (grail) purchase, and save towards it.

It would have the same rules as the NPC, but with an eventual goal in mind...

Yes I bought that watch on a whim - might have paid a little too much for it but it's my first vintage watch so it's fine. To those interested, it is this watch here:

Yep, I picked up the Formosa hopsack. Couldn't resist.

And in regards to the NPC, here is my idea for the reasonable purchase club. Each person states the amount they are allowing themselves to spend. You are not allowed to go over. You have to report how much you spend.

If you spend more than you promised, you have to donate to a charity or something?
