Woot mine has shipped. Can't wait.

Mine too, I wonder if I'll get it on the 24th though, since AT&T was saying it could arrive between the 24th through the 28th.

Yep. Actually you can link multiple ipod/iphones/nanos/shuffles etc to the same itunes library. I have a 4 year old ipod and my iphone that share the same itunes library. i use the ipod for my dock in my patio.

Thanks, man. Just sync'ed up some music on the Touch I won at a conference.

Got mine in today. It was ordered via our corporate ATT account. I have yet to activate, but can't wait to give this a test drive. Believe it or not, this is my first iPhone...i whatever actually.

Let us know our impressions of the phone and if you have any issues. I will post my impressions after I get mine sometime tomorrow (UPS don't let me down). I hope that I don't get one the yellow-screen defective units. And since I plan on buying a case of it, I'm not concerned about the skin-to-metal antenna reception issue. Whilst I'm excited to get my new phone, Apple certainly dropped the ball on this one.

This. However, one useful update that I didn't see mentioned in Gizmodo's summaries leading up to the release is the camera shutter speed. Whereas it used to take a second or so, maybe more, to take a picture, now you can essentially hammer them out as fast as you can tap the icon. Nothing mind blowing though.

some people are really overanalyzing that the oils from your hands can mess up with the reception.

quoted from a post on a mac forum

    give me a fucking break.

This. I really think there is a legitimate reception issue which is why Apple decided to sell the Bumpers separately, at $29.99 a pop! [IMG] They really should give iPhone 4 owners free Bumpers (which I assume cost less than $1 to manufacture, ship and distribute to Apple / At&t stores). At the same time, I was planning on getting a real case for my phone anyways, which will null the reception issue. And regarding the yellowing screens, apparently the glass front is held with a silicone-based adhesive that needs time to fully evaporate. But since Foxconn rushed the phones out of the factory, some units are being delivered with adhesive residue that has yet to evaporate. Apparently after a few days all of the screens should be fine. People are already reporting that the yellow spots / streaks have disappeared from their phones.

Which case are you looking at? I've already noticed the back of the iPhone can get real greasy which means it will definitely be slippery eventually.

I want the equivalent of the 3GS cases that utilize a hard metal shell but that have a soft rubberized feel to them, and cover everything but the front of the phone.

the lines at the west village apple store are crazy... they had both reserved and non reserved initially lined up in the same line... it was crazy and people were in disarray... after a certain point they check if you have a reservation then put you in the equally as long (but faster moving reserved line)... i was luckily able to smooth talk the appleworker into letting me buy Three phones... lol.. i have one 32gig iphone 4 black AT&T (with no contract!) on the SF Buy and Sell (others) right now.. the phone actually feels heavy compared to the 3GS but just as solid as the old 2G... i actually upgraded from my original 2G so its a huge upgrade.... the screen is super clear, even the sms messages are very very clear compared to the older models...

I do find the rush for the latest model a bit funny. We are talking the same sized screen and speed if you already have 3GS. Plus if you want the white model you are shit out of luck (which I do).

I'll just wait till the end of July when things are back to normal. I bet then I'll be able to walk into my local AT&T store and leave with the white model in tow. Every time there is a major Apple release people lose their shit trying to get it immediately and are faced with aggravation. Just wait a few weeks. Dur.

+1. Besides I'm T-Mobile so unlocked $$ are insane. I'll wait a few weeks at least.
