Just started playing bass live, which is not my forte, but decided I wanted something short scale. Traded my 68 Telecaster bass for this - ultra rare short scale 1979 BC Rich Eagle.
Two dimarzio P style split coil pickups, and a whole bunch of switching options. To be honest I’m not sure what all the switches do yet, but there’s a boost, some phase switching, a Varitone, stuff like that. Very cool.

I’ll never be as cool as Derek Smalls unfortunately.

Ok ok, not sure if it's been discussed yet, but Fender vs g&l? Specifically Tele vs asat?

I've played the legacy tribute (strat style) when I was playing with a band, but it was just ok. I liked my mim strat much better. Are the nicer models a good step up?

For most people, guitars come and go as your interests and tastes change. For that reason, you will always be able to resell a Tele vs an asat quicker and for more $. Plus, a good Tele is better than a good asat in my experience and I've owned two of them. No idea how many Teles and Esquires I've owned for sure, maybe a dozen?

For my birthday, my wife dropped a freaking brand new Collings D2H.

The bad news is that I gotta sell my Taylor 614CE (2008).

Can anybody here recommend software for making guitar tabs and also standard music notation? I have briefly googled a few and I am kind of overwhelmed. Some of them are insanely expensive. Any input? Paging @hendrix

I used to use Sibelius but I think that it's quite expensive and I'm sure there must be cheaper ones around now.

Yeah, that seems to be the best one out there, but pricey for what I need I think.
