So, in conclusion, Foo should buy a '59 les Paul JR.
Paul Kossoff had the best les paul sound. Or maybe Gary Moore..
I want one. They got that one on 14th st.
Or maybe this.......
I want one too.
I just hate the intonation issue with them due to the wraparound bridge.
You could start here:
or in pre-made packs: http://fretsonfire.wikidot.com/packs
I can't verify which of these have separate tracks though. I just downloaded a giant pack of songs (that contained all of the Guitar Hero and Rock Band tracks, plus DLC, plus stuff made by random people) that I found a torrent for at one point. Some of the songs had split tracks, others just had the full recording, but made so you could play rock band with it (drums and guitars tabbed out).
Something like this: http://kickass.to/fofix-songs-library-t4018222.html (sorry for the shitty site, but I wanted to link to one that didn't have porn ads)
If you look at the files they have, you can see which ones have the separate parts (all in ogg files...which are standard enough and/or easy to convert back to mp3).
e.g. if you look in "/Rock Band/The Pixies - Wave of Mutilation/" you will see separate files for drums/guitar/rhythm/song. If you look at "/Def Leppard - Hysteria/" you will only see one guitar.ogg file which means they probably just took the mp3 and threw it in there.
I love LP Jr's. I'm especially a sucker for a clean LP TV JR. I sold one to Keith Richards when he was in Sausalito recording an album with the X-pensive Winos.
Getting my Tele back today all professionally set up.
Perfect post for the "Things that make you happy" thread.
Found some beautiful guys at GC today:
1960 CS Relic Strat in Daphne Blue. This guy has some mojo. Sounded as good unplugged as plugged (to cite the recent mantra)
And this 1959 LP Reissue (2014 Iced Tea Burst) caught my attention b/c of Foo.
The strat looks like surf green
It's the blue
