There's a difference between "this show involves politics" a la GoT and "this show hamfists modern issues into it sloppily." The first is enjoyable while the second blows.

"Modern issues" have existed since we started walking upright. There is nothing ******* modern about migration, immigration, emigration, sex, homosexuality, bisexuality, gender fluidity, etc. You may wish that **** didn't exist, but it does and always has. The only thing you object to is a fictional show addressing basic human behavior that you find abhorrent. Normal people just don't give a **** about that, hence the popularity of mafia movies and shows.

Euphoria was kind of a yawn, actually.

Caught parts of 2 different episodes. Nothing really grabbing my attention. Just a bunch of young adults playing teens doing drugs and **********.

The second episode was a little better, and the actors are decent, so hopefully, it’ll hike itself up to HBO standards. As is, it just felt like a Showtime show — nasty and forgettable.

Did you see the shower scene, based (they claim) on the one in Carrie? Dicks everywhere! Literally jumping up and down. Like screaming at prudish viewers, “Get mad at me! (Please?)”.
