Cool take. I like Jorah's character best, even though Tyrion gets all the limelight.
They describe Loras as "reed thin" in the book.
Yeah. I also liked the Theon scenes. That guy seems a pretty good actor.
Can you fucking spoiler this shit please? There is a book thread.
LOL don't get your panties in a wad, I don't think anything is going to be spoiled for you by me mentioning "frog people" and going into no detail whatsoever. And I was asking a question about the show.
Tyrion having Cersei killed in book 3...now THAT'S a spoiler.
Or when Rick shoots Andrea in the head in the finale of Walking Dead.
I can see you getting mad a those two, but not this.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
wow. Funny guy.
I am, thanks.
And the Salla thing is very minor. I think the actor did a good job, just not what I pictured ethnically.
I'm going to continue to watch the show b/c I'm a fanboy, but the inconsistencies are starting to vex me, and I know they might be relatively minor but if their fucking minor than they can go in the show. That whole renly, loras, margery shit pissed me off.
Also the gratuitous nudity is about to jump the fucking shark. We get it, your're on HBO, you can show tits and snatch. Whoop-di-fucking-do
i thought there was supposed to be a battle scene at a castle where the ppl going to the wall were fighting off the lannisters.
Yeah it's getting to the point where it's taking away from actual exposition in the show. Like you said, we get it, sexxxxx woooo. Don't need to work a damn brothel scene into every episode, or show two guys making out for a couple minutes.
That said, Margaery was hot. The rest of that scene was damn uncomfortable ("should I bring my brother in?")
Meh. I don't mind them shaving some costs by having a much smaller battle there, it doesn't really change anything. We get the point, the Lannisters attacked the Watch over a bastard.
I love that they expanded Theon's character a bit. I have more empathy for him in the show than i did for him in the novels
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
at least for now.
Just keep your book shit in the other thread. Thanks guy.
why are all the people in this show who are supposed to have blond hair actually browns with a crappy hair dye job
the color of cersei's eyebrows really bothers me. at least dye them so they match her hair
+1, He's actually conflicted in the show, interesting.
I also prefer the Theon character in the show than the books because his inner turmoil seems far more plausible than just going along with whatever daddy says. Robb was like his brother, so betraying him should not be an easy decision. I still do not like the Yara (Asha) casting. I just can't picture her as a badass.
Brienne was good casting, as I said she would be. Not quite ugly, just horribly plain with an obnoxious personality, but it works. Not a fan of the Tyrell castings. Loras is supposed to be beautiful and the model of chivalry. He looks and acts like a big, whiny pussy (but I'm glad they didn't cast this guy - can't fucking stand him). Margaery doesn't even look remotely like the hottest chick in Westeros. Cersei > Margaery in that regard, even with the extra 20 years and shooting out 3 incest demon spawns. But at least her tits were better than Boat Girl. The bedroom scene with her and Renly was well done but very creepy.
In general I understand why they've made things more explicit in the show and removed a lot of the ambiguity, and for the most part I'm okay with it. I'm also starting to like the actor playing Jon Snow more. Can't stand Fat Sam (Gamgee), though.
That entire "You'll have to carry me" scene was fucking hilarious.
