i kinda missed the part of why towards end of episode all the kids were killed, can anyone clarify?

They were Roberts bastards.

And because, by contrast with Joffrey, they all have Baratheon colouring, regardless of their mothers, whereas Cersei's children all look Lannister. Basically Cersei thinks "Jon Arryn and Ned Stark realized that Joffrey is illegitmate due to seeing Gendry and realizing that Joffery looks just like a Lannister, so if there is no Gendrys, then noone will think Joffrey is illegitimate"

It's dumb but thats because its Cersei.

pretty good first episode. i wish they would've introduced the character's names earlier though... half the time i was like "who the hell is that guy?" (well stannis baratheon)

still working on the books... i guess that should help.

i love how every character is a shade of grey (except for maybe joffrey)

roz is the redhead who theon greyjoy used to dump his load into and now works in littlefinger's whorehouse. shae is tyrion's whore/girlfriend and is the ex-Appreciation actress; ive seen it, and its no bueno.

I thought it was a great first episode. Good to see Tyrion show his face at King´s landing and put a stop to some of the Joffrey douchebaggery. Poor Sansa having to withstand that asshole and say her father was a traitor.
Maybe this will make all of those who loathe joffrey feel better
