1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Don't disagree with the general sentiment but adhering more to the real story isn't teally an option since fatboy can't get around to finishing the original story.

As long as GoT = Game of Tits I think we can write off the idea this is about "safe spaces."

Since one if our regular posters has been quiet lately I'll note that the transition from rape porn to images that could be seen in the supermarket line on the cover of Cosmo has been pretty noticeable.

Saw this map recently. Not that it's new, but it's an attempt to give the Game of Thrones world a sense of scale. I really prefer it to the author's interpretation (where the continents are much, even absurdly larger). I've heard it said that Martin imagines Westeros as big as South America. I always assumed the characters just had no idea how far apart the things in their world really are and were exaggerating.

It's been years since I read the books, but I don't recall anything about the Three Musketeers of Ethos, Southeryos, and Ulthos or whatever. They sound like parody names.

A fair point, but I assume what most people mean by "adhering to the story" is the moral ambiguity/trope subversion of GRRM's writing.

Instead we get cliche one-liners and grrrrl power moments.

I don't even care about the one liners at this point, they just need to wrap that shit up.

I was thinking - what if the Others (White Walkers) are Hive minded, like the other GRRM baddies

But the tits on that one were nice. Not worth the spectacularly shitty Dorne storyline, tho.

HBO is replaying GoT one season per day. They're doing season 4 today. It's been awhile since I've seen these episodes but to me season 4 is by far the best season.
