Do people like this exist in the real world? Off of the internet, I meet feminists and they mostly seem to be about equal pay or they give you nasty looks if you say something sexist, but they aren't all hyperventilating about tv shows and claiming that the kid on the commercial who kissed the prom queen was a rapist. I only meet those people on the internet.

Same with men's rights activists, actually. If a guy ever told me he was a men's rights activist I would probably laugh in his face.

Clearly, you didn't go to law school or live on the coasts.

i wish, but there is no doubt that there are people like that in the world who really think that crap, and the internet gives them all a broad audience.

could be real and could be a troll, i honestly would not be surprised either way.

Yeah that may not even be the most ridiculous feminist thing I've seen this week.

Here's a story. My little brother is a charming ne'er-do-well with a host of bad tattoos, questionable personal hygiene habits, mutton-chops, and the physique of a heroin addict (though he is not one - he just got the skinny genes and I got the fat ones). As a total joke and because he was basically bored, he decided to round up a bunch of his heavily inked, out-of-shape, bearded buddies and start a male burlesque troop. He called it "Hurly-Burly," did some shows, actually attracted a following, and now does the whole thing regularly (probably because it inexplicably seems to get him laid like crazy).

He now gets hate-email from so-called feminists claiming he is "perverting the women's art form of burlesque." I'm not kidding.

Hilarious. Some people really go out of their way to get themselves worked up about silly things.

Definitely. The post reads like an amalgamation of all of the absurd twitter comments I saw. I'm sure those twitter users are idiots and were serious about their comments...but they didn't start a page about it and forgot about the whole thing a day later.
