1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It started getting a bit frustrating. This was pretty much a yearly message.

    baller.

also, would be so win if joffrey tripped over his robes and fell down the throne, impaling himself on its swords and writhing to a slow and painful death.

There was at least one king killed that way. Most of them cut themselves on it all the time.

The throne room on the show really is kind of underwhelming.

For me, A Dance With Dragons was such a let down that it pretty much cured my impatience for the rest of the books. Reminds me a lot of what happened with Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. Eventually, the volumes became more ponderous, with very little going on in the way of plot advancement. At this point, I'd be fine if the book series goes unfinished, and the story is wrapped up via the HBO vehicle.

Eh, ADwD wasn't awful. Not nearly as bad as AFfC. Both, especially AFfC could have benefited from some editing, but at least by the end of ADwD you really start to see things falling into place.
