Is that Jon Snow or the gay boyfriend from Girls?
Dude, he says what the problem is. He can and would kill Tywin but it could take time. A day, a week, a year. But Arya wants him dead NOW to prevent him attacking her brother or defending Kings landing so she passes on it.
You do know that they WROTE IT ALL DOWN IN BOOKS FOR YOU!
Guy on the right looks like Conne.
but if its magic, he should be able to accomplish it whenever. i mean, thats how my magic works anyways.
lol i dont read nerd books
It's not magic, at least not "wave your arms and a bolt from the blue comes down" kind of magic.
Nerd books? You just mark out over the show instead.
when then he has shitty magic :tounge:
I like the idea that the magic in GOT usually sucks and has horrible, taxing consequences on the people that try to use it. It's a lot better than the whole "wave a staff and my enemies are vanquished" stuff you so often see.
I like magic in this series. So refreshing since magic in the fantasy genre has gotten more and more munchkin as time went on.
good points. i was just getting clarification on jaqen.
Minor spoiler regarding magic and Jaqen.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
The only "magic" displayed in the books by Jaqen was his ability to change faces (hence the name of the assassins, Faceless men). This hasn't been mentioned in the show so they may cut it out completely or bring it up later.
If you want to see how ridiculous the use of magic can get in a fantasy setting, look no farther than Eddings' Belgariad. Still loved it, but it did cross the line. Magic being kind of in the background is what drew me to this series in the first place once I saw the little Making of GoT deal before the show started airing and heard that.
thank you sir.
me too. i love how magic isn't some supernatural deus ex machina bullshit, but is subtle but still has consequences.
that and the politics, the character development, and the willingness to throw characters away for sake of the story of the universe is what makes GoT so attractive.
Fuck Benioff, fuck Weiss, fuck whoever thought all these plot additions and subtractions were good for the story, fuck any fan of the novels who doesn't think this shitshow is raping the story, and lastly fuck this show.
That being said I'll continue to watch it.
