Looks very nice for a first fitting.
+2; keen to hear how you will compare the final product to that of your traveling tailors.
Axelman, looks very good. Please keep us updated on the progress.
Thanks guys, will certainly report back following my next fitting. I also owe a debt of gratitude to patrickBOOTH for all his guidance on Ercoles. Thus far, the experience and product have been markedly different than Mina and Chan, my prior tailors. I will try and get some comparison pictures of the final garment.
What sort of shoulders have you gone with?
I photographic comparison of workmanship between NSM, Ercole and WWC would be epic.
The shoulder is what Frank calls "open round," I believe PB posted pictures of it earlier in the thread. The roping that you see is due to the way the basted fitting is put together, the final product will not be roped and the only padding will be a bit of wadding under the sleevehead.
Excellent coat. Frank did a great job.
Is there a button on the pocket flaps? I would ask Frank to change out the two buttons on the half belt for larger ones. The scale looks off. Big lapels, big flaps, wide belt, needs bigger buttons.
450 for CTM is very fair. I charge 800.00 for CTM. 10 hours at 75.00 per.+ cutting & trimmings. There are many construction methods and they effect the fit and comfort of trousers. It would be easy to detect the differences from Ned and Ercole's
I had my second fitting with Frank yesterday and asked him to take a few pictures. At this point, I think the jacket is pretty close, we are going to take out a little of the excess fabric (drape?!) around the chest and clean up the back a little, it looks like there is excess fabric under the arm. This was my first fitting with the pants and they need more work. Ignore the pant length, they were unhemmed at this point, they will not have any break. The rise needs to be lengthened in the front and the back needs to be let out a bit. We are also going to slim the pants by about 1/4".
Nice butt-shot. Jacket looks great. I personally like the chest.
Looks nice. I would think about lengthening the coat a little.
Thanks, I am not sure I want to know what the "X"s on the butt mean......
Looks real good. Especially for your first suit...
Agree with this, it seems little short to me.
I like the chest, wouldn't touch it. Also, not sure how much slimmer you can go on pants, they seem pretty slim as they are.
