1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Haha, that's perfectly understandable, given the circumstances.

I just walked down South Molton Lane, saw a sign on the street that said "Drakes SALE" and followed it like a good, listless, purchase-zombie.
    It was exhilerating.

The South Molton music room holds all kinds of smaple sales but it seems to be difficult to find out exactly when they'll be.
I just walk by every day and enjoy the pleasant surprises whenever they come around.

Thanks for the new PSA by the way!

Bluefly has some Church's shoes and boots on sale, using the code befrugal50 brings the price down to c $325. I picked up a pair of the Ryder III chukkas in dk brown. Not a super steal, but not bad either.

    This is not spam :)

If you're looking for some great, lighter weight, birds-eye flannel trousers for under $100 - these are awesome: Hackett Flannel Trousers:

The material is 100% Loro Piana "Zelander" (New Zealand Merino Wool). When yoox dropped them to $95 (from $260) I got a pair of the light gray (now sold out) and light brown, both of which are fantastic.

However, note that Yoox lists them as a 9.8 hem - wrong, wrong, wrong - both of my pairs are a trim 8 1/4. While I am disappointed - I was hoping they were as listed and I'd get them tapered down to an 8.75 - there's enough overstitched material in the leg that I might still be able to let it out. We'll see what the tailor says. Also note that I'm a 33 and got these in a 34 and they are still slim.

Here's hoping I can get them adjusted and into shape, I like the material so much I'd have a hard time sending them back.

And they subtract VAT for US customers so it is just 78 GBP ($120) with three day shipping.

And the bridle leather attache case on sale at Pickett looks like a good deal, too.

    http://www.pickett.co.uk/shop/sale/Bridlehide-Attache-Case/

If I'm not mistaken, it's SAB's machine-made case. (It looks identical to the Peal-branded one I have.) Assuming a conversion rate of $1.53 and subtracting VAT (20%), it comes to $847.00. Of course, shipping to the US likely wouldn't be cheap, and you might have to pay US import duty.
