i thought we had established that this is not the appropriate thread for these remarks.

in other news, spain could go out, and if they draw we could see brazil v. spain in the next round. that's the match that should be the final.

I must have missed that between page 1 and page 135. Sorry, if that is the case.

The second one (i think)...where Honda makes that sick move in the box and crosses to the guy with a sitter was amazing.

He out-Brazilianed/Ronaldo'd the Brazilians and Ronaldo.

That was the third one. The first two were free kicks from distance into the net from Honda and Endo.
I agree he had some nice moves, but aesthetically, that sequence ended a bit clumsily for my taste. Kinda looked like Honda overplayed his position and he was lucky not to lose control of the ball as he passed it. I could be wrong, but that's just how it looked to me.

The Honda free kick was power and pinpoint accuracy from long range. The Endo kick was a bit of trickery and a great curving shot around the wall. The goalie would have probably had a chance at the first one if he hadn't jumped to hus left trying to cheat up on a ball that went the other way - but I think the second goal was nearly unblockable.

those of you in the u.s. should watch the chile/spain match on univision (the spanish station) even if you don't speak spanish. the ref is mexican and he's a good one, very strict. they call him "el chiquidracula" because he looks like a little boy who used to dress like dracula on television. Chile is beautiful on the attack but are leaving themselves exposed too much at the back. They are screwing this up big time.
