It is kind of demotivating when you work late in an office with motion detector lights, and the lights shut off suddenly because typing isn't enough motion to keep them on.

Good question, I'll have to get back to you with an answer.

In other news, the lights stay on while I'm chasing away the bums for some reason.

Our office has these. It cracks me up when I see attorneys sleeping in their offices so long that the lights shut out on them lol

I especially love when the lights go out and you're not the only one in the room, so you flail around like a raving lunatic to get them on again and your coworker thinks you're insane.

my last cheap ass boss had them set to go on at 730 and off at 6, so so much for staying late or coming in early. and I mean off off, but hey he has an office with lights, so the rest of us can piss off.

I had another office with one in the bathroom, and I admit I got caught more than once. I had a plan, if it was just me in the bathroom, I would throw the spare toilet paper roll or my shoe, then hurry and finsih and go grab it.

If it was just you in the bathroom, couldn't you have just swing the stall door open and then back closed pretty quickly?
