Anyone know if this is normal on cordovan, arrived this way? Does it need a condition (Saphir cordovan neutral polish I’ve got bit not used)?

My oceano cordovan does that too.

I tried some Saphir Cordovan creme – immediately after application the leather looks great but the light/dull look in the creases reappears immediately when wearing the boots. So adding more waxes etc. propabably isn't the way to go. I found you can rub these light areas out with a hard, smooth object. Time for a deer bone, possibly.

Yesterday arrived a pair of black Stow in commando with natural welt. I have been delaying this purchase looking for Dainite sole; the heel in commado sole looks a tad agressive, but couldn't find them in Dainite. These where purchased from the Tricker's Outlet that is worth a look. They are made in M/C leather so I requested more informacion and this is the reply I got from Tricker's leather specialist:

The Black M/C leather is a heavy duty motorcycle type leather, firmer and with a dull finish.

The leather is smooth and does not shine, just what I was looking for. These boots are going to be worn with jeans and cords, that's why I have changed the black laces that look somber and replaced them with some running shoes grey/black laces.

Nice pick up. Tan laces would go nicely as well to complement the welt and give an informal look.

Sorry to see this CC. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the Cordovan I’ve received on Tricker’s Boots most recently has been a bit on the dry side and stiffer than in the past. I can recommend a few products:
1. Boot Black Moisture Rich Lotion; and
2. Boot Black Artist Palette in Mojito; or
3. Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier Dark Green Cream; or
4. Saphir Green Dye (last ditch - you could have permanent colour mismatch if you partially dye, but it could also be a great learning experience in footwear resurrection)
**No one seems to make Green Cordovan Cream.
I’ve used the Saphir Cream on a pair of Cipresso Cordovan Boots and Boot Black Artist Palette on Navy Cordovan Boots with no issue. One thing to note is that the Boot Black products above are Argan Oil - based (used in high quality moisturiser for humans). I’ve found if the Cordovan is dry, it has no problem absorbing Argan Oil and it seems to do a good job of restoring moisture to the Cordovan.

No problem CC. Boning would also help, but you may need both the Natural Deer Bone and a man made one from Saphir to get into the tighter spots.
