I agree entirely, that bugs the hell out of me.

For clarity Tricker’s aren’t charging EU customers U.K. VAT, but instead are charging whatever VAT is applicable in the country they are sending to. It avoids having to pay customs or the courier anything.

Here is another text from Tricker's webshop site:

"No surprise charges! The price shown is the price paid for delivery to your door, including all duties, handling charges, VAT/taxes and paperwork in your local country. Following Brexit, many EU shoppers have been surprised by extra charges when ordering from other UK websites, but Tricker’s customers have not suffered this. We take care of everything.

All orders are delivered in plain packaging containing the distinctive blue Tricker's shoe box and complete with a complimentary Tricker's shoe bag and polishing cloth (combined value £17).

We aim to deliver all orders as quickly as possible. We use DHL & Parcelforce for all of our deliveries."

Can’t complain about the prices or service in the recent sale. I got a pair of sale Trickers recently, no VAT, free shipping to New Zealand, and no extra duties or charges which i was very happy about. In fact I’ve just ordered a pair of Navy Bourtons with an extra 10% off before the sale ends later today.

Hatch grain. If I recall it is a sort of pattern 'stamped' calf leather. Or something along those lines, anyway. As you say, gorgeous....
