Cross post but these came too. Had green eye lets changed to brass with speed hooks by Paul at Shoe Healer. Top job on these and decided to jazz up the laces too.. have a tan pair for a more sedate look.

on the other hand, the magic of handcrafted shoes means that you never have the same thing every time. the between the two Bourtons, the burgundy seems shorter than the Marron, the shoe trees 9 has difficulty entering it, I don't know if it is related to the commando sole ?

My Trickers Wheat Cavalier with commando soles , runs larger than my Trickers Marron Muflones in danite soles. Both shoes are U.K. 8.5

I'm a bit underwhelmed at the 'lightweight' build of my new suede Bourton's. Tricker's state that: "Our lightweight version sees the removal of the through or midsole". Despite about 15 hours Googling, I can't work out what this means. With the Dainite soles, black welt, black heel stack and grey suede, I'm worried that the shoes look a bit gloomy. Perhaps lacing them with some Christmas Red Ribbon will brighten them up.

I think the soles are a swing and a miss, the whole attraction is the heft!

Yes, Tricker's are supposed to feel as though you have your feet set in heavily weighted concrete blocks. These ain't like that.

Sounds like Stows may have been more appropriate.

Does Saphir cream based polish work for this leather, or does it have to be beeswax or something?

Just normal cream is fine mate.

Yep....I call it it flippy floppy.....

I've only used shoe cream but may pick up some polish as recommended.....it might bring back a bit of a shine.
