I had read that Trickers doesn’t want to do shell boots anymore, but does anyone know the reason why? Wondering if they’d be up for an MTO or GMTO in shell......

Just too hard to work with mate and material cost to wastage.
Shell isn’t massively popular in the UK either.
I asked them and they said no. You and I as a team may work...?

We may have to, let's see just how 'crafty' you are mate! i had heard that a couple times as well, where apparently the US and to a much lesser extent, Japan, are the two countries that buy the most shell footwear. The UK but especially Europe, doesn't hold the same fondness for it. I recall one German member here on SF, saying that on a German fashion or footwear forum, they tend to make fun of Americans are our love for shell.

It's a strange juxtiposition that the French eat a lot of horse, but don't like to wear it; the US doesn't eat any horse, but loves to wear it.

Just to let you know that it's still possible to place an order for the Trickers green CXL make up (thanks Crafty Cumbrian!). I wanted them but was quite late on this... contacted theshoehealer today and place an order. It was a smooth and easy transaction. Can't wait to get them (but have to be patient...). So if you still want that fantastic make up, it's time!

Rocking my first ever pair of Tricker's I ever bought... They are still absolutely amazing. They don't really look worn, but I've worn the **** out of them. The Itshide sole is really long lasting.

I’m doing a re-run of the Eaton in Three-tone Kudu if a boot might be for consideration :)

Was mainly looking for shoes as I have a lot of boots but there.s one good reason... I like boots more than shoes, so Kudu boots is an option. Could you tell me more about it?

A couple of years ago, I was interested in getting Bourton in kudu. Didn't get them but still thinking about it. Anyone here get some kudu leather and would like to share his experience ? thx

My Kudu Bourton's in Sign are one of my favourite pairs of shoes. I love the colour of them, the irregularity of the grain and just the way they look - good for anyone who likes patination. They are in almost all ways different to other types of leather. They also need minimal care: a wipe with a damp cloth and the occasional brushing. I have yet to put any cream, wax or anything else on them and have no plans to. Kudu shoes can be worn all year round and go really well with jeans.

I also have two pairs of Doc Marten Kudu shoes, which are now discontinued (!). Great, but not a patch on Bourton's. Kind regards, Munky.

They have been ordered sir sans medallion with Ridgeway soles! I suggest you contact [email protected] as they ordered a couple in for stock but I’m not sure what size.

Cheers! Just got in touch with them. If my 4444 size has a bit of space in the toebox do you think I could take the same size for 4497S? If I size up .5 will the 4497 be too big? Being in the US there's not much opportunity for me to try a pair on sadly...

Kudu is one of my favorite leathers ever. It is so interesting to look at and has so much character. I love how you can actually see the scarring on it. It's also durable and doesn't require much in the way of maintenance and upkeep. I couldn't recommend it enough, it's amazing! I've uploaded these pics before, but here are some shots to show the kudu leather up close.
