Bloody hell. The grey suede Stowsare beautiful...

I kinda consider picking them up, but the 4497S isn't ideal...

Good choice, I was also tempted by these
They look comfortable yet built to last. I went for
the Olivia deer Ethan. Will see when it arrives but my ‘vision’ is JR leather soles and heals if I recraft it. Probably with an antique welt to give contrast. May change eyelets to brushed steel from what appears black.

It's shocking how it's becoming necessary to buy up outlet stock at a price that allows cost-effective customisation so as to remedy Tricker's determined attempt to remove the features that make their shoes desirable

The Olivvia Ethans are a terrible example of this: vibram soles, painted eyelets, lack of colour variation between upper / welt / sole

I've no doubt that @Crafty Cumbrian will vastly improve them. Maybe there could be a market for Crafty customisations - a bit like Yobokies Seikos

I’d love a kudu Ethan which they’ve now made and bloody white sole again!! That’d look great this time next year with mods!! ?

Has anyone an idea what tan softeero is like ? They have a fit 6 Grasmere in it ? and I’m very interested!

i have emailed Trickers to advise but might just pull the trigger anyway .

Don't know anything about the leather but really like the look of it.

Looks like it should age very nicely with time and some darker brown/red polishes every now and then.

I can just see it now, Crafty Customs Trickers ?

I've had one pair customised, had a blue Dainite sole and pull tab removed from my Bourton's

I think it's the same material as these. I like the material a lot. It's not as rugged and heavy feeling as other grain leathers though.
And as you can see from the pic, it doesn't have that same water resistant finish as other other grain leathers.

Thanks , I’ll give it a bit of consideration this weekend .
