I’d always try to not get them soaked if possible (more because that would mean I’m soaked by default!) but they’ll be fine, just make sure you dry them naturally and not on a radiator for example as that would dry them too fast.
Had my Matlocks out on the beach last week. The thick commando soles kept my feet warm and dry. A quick brush down afterwards and they were fine.

Great photo of the Matlocks. I have the Ilkley in the same leather, still breaking them in but the leather definitely gives the impression it can easily handle some abuse. Much sturdier than my other Trickers leather.

So any feedback on how the Olivvia leather is aging? Love to see some photos of a well worn pair.

Cordovan Roy boots. They started out as navy but have faded to a rather interesting pewter color.

Interesting color. I have Black Cordovan Robert Shoes that reveal this Pewter/Expresso color under direct sunlight. Trickers might be starting with Brown shade of Comipel (?) shell and dyeing them Navy/Black etc?

I’m sure I read that with cordovan the background browns always come through a bit with time.

How are the Acorn Stows breaking in?

It’s going good thanks, they fitted well even without breaking in and where comfortable out the box. I’ve walked around for a few hours in them and they have been comfortable :)
