I have a pair of Woodstock in caramel. Nice. :) However, the classic marron have to be added to my collection eventually. They scream understated quality to me. Which is what I’m all about.
They suite the dainite sole recently introduced onto them (The Marron Woodstock) aesthetically.
Will never go out of style which is a sure fire ‘investment’ piece.

I saw them reduced somewhere recently and can’t remember!

You can’t torment us with that! It’s not on! When you did so, I went and searched for ‘woodstock sale/reduced’ via Google. Not much joy. (Not that I have plans to buy any time soon. Probably in a year or two.) When doing the search, I found Tricker’s on THIS website. I’m sorry, but this gets my goat a bit. What’s all this trying to put Marron and Caramel shoes with smart trousers? It screams prepster (or whatever the term is). Don’t get me wrong, Tricker’s shoes can be dressed ‘smart’ - if we mean smart(ish) casual. I like to think I look fairly smart when I rock them to the office several times a week. All the footwear at the link will go really well with chinos or smart denim (not that I’m a big denim fan) and one or two can go with smart dress pants. (I would consider wearing my black Burfords/Bishops with grey dress pants this autumn and winter.) They can look sharp in any stylish man’s wardrobe. But these images are not what your average man dresses like. If I saw these for the first time, dressed up as we see in those picks, I might think it’s one of those ‘out there’ brands that are worn only by eccentric dressing people.

New Grassmere Caramel kudus, just in from the US.
Hardly worn from previous owner. Superb condition and beautiful colour and fit. Better fit than my Sign Stow kudus, perhaps due to the noticeably thicker lining.
Thanks to forum member DuckOb for a nice easy transaction.

These are so f**king good. Somebody annoyed me a while back then they referred to these as ‘ugly’. No, it’s called a REAL BOOT! :)

By the way, after several months of disappointment, the Tricker’s Outlet website have been adding a fair few models recently. Some that can even be worn by normal people. I noticed nice pairs of ‘Woodstock’ in black and marron, both in size 8.5. 8.5 is my size when it comes to shoes (I have finally realised/accepted). I was on the verge of purchasing when I realised they had ring eyelets (or ‘agatine eyelets’), which I am not really going for. I want my Woodstocks with blind eyelets and preferably with rubber dainite (or ridgeway) soles. (I find leather soles bothersome when crunching along the pavement. Leather soles are for the office or when not walking hard.)

Hi all, this is my first post on this thread.
I’ve just pulled out my winter stows for a bit of tlc and I can’t help but feel that they are now too tight for me. I really adore these boots so I was wondering if anybody has had any experience in stretching boots? They feel marginal length wise but it’s mainly the outside edge of the toe box where the toes curl around that’s causing me issues. Thanks I’m advance.

Hi,

Not came across shoes not fitting that previously did, have you tried with slimmer socks first to see if hat makes a difference?

Failing that I’d think a local cobbler may be able to stretch marginally which is all should be needed?

Slimmer socks do improve but I wear these with thicker socks as I use them when it's snowy or extremely cold and rainy. I'm just debating whether its worth trying or just put then on eBay and start again.

Sometimes maybe wearing a few times with thinner socks may help?

If they are a favourite I’d imagine it’s a simple issue to resolve.
